Our Heritage

Bob Evans Farms History - Photo of man inspecting sausage

In 1948, Bob Evans was searching for high-quality sausage to serve in his small restaurant in Gallipolis, Ohio. When he couldn’t find it, he began making sausage himself. His goal was a product that would be superior in quality and taste. His wife, Jewell Evans, helped perfect the seasonings. The sausage was an immediate hit. Soon, he was selling to grocery stores throughout Ohio and West Virginia, and now the entire country.
